It Does Not Immunize

Baptism is necessary for the remission of sins. The Bible so teaches and there is not a person  that can prove otherwise. Let them try.

Can we expect baptism to immunize us from temptation that we will sin no more? No, that is not the function of baptism. The devil still seeks our destruction (1 Pet. 5:8) and we still sin (1 John 1: 8- 10). If the Christian cannot sin so as to be lost, why did the Holy Spirit have the inspired writers to repeatedly warn against just such a thing happening?

Baptism is no guarantee of heaven. After baptism there is a life to be lived faithfully "in Christ." Baptism does guarantee our past sins are forgiven because God said so.
