It Is the Lord's Day |

| The first day of the
week is the Lord's Day and I look forward to it every week. The
opportunity to worship with brethren in Christ has come again. It is a joy
to give God thanks and glory for His bountiful blessings and to lay before
Him our cares and petitions. It is the day of worship.
Would it not be nice for just one day to dismiss the threats in the world, to have good news rather than what the sinful world produces? If only this wonderful day could be a day of peace on earth and the doing of good one to another. Not much chance of that seeing how degenerate most people have become because they ignore God. But I can at least "brighten the corner" where I am if I try hard enough and maybe, just maybe, be a blessing to others. That would be very fitting way to spend the Lord's Day, don't you think? Let's try it together. |
