It Matters Who Said It

Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me." It matters that such was spoken by Him.

"I am not the Christ." What a difference it would make if Jesus had said that rather than John the Baptist.

Even thos is enough to show how we must observe who is speaking when we read Scripture.
