Jesus Tells Us Who |
||
In Matthew 19 after
the rich young ruler walked away from Jesus, Jesus taught how difficult if
was for those of riches to be saved. His disciples asked, "Who then
can be saved?" Jesus makes it clear that it is impossible for man to
save himself by himself, but with God it is possible.
All need to be saved because all sin (Rom. 3: 23). The wonderful gospel teaches that all who need to be saved can be saved provided they come to the Savior. That was the reason Christ came to earth (Lk. 19: 10). This is why the gospel must be preached to every person (Mk. 16: 15). The answer to the question, "Who can be saved?" is simply, "Everyone who needs to be saved can be saved, but only on the Lord's terms." |
