Just as the Psalmist Said it Would Be |

Psalm 34: 20
contains a prophecy concerning Christ. "He keepeth all his bones: not
one of them is broken." The Jews did not want the bodies of those
crucified to be hanging on the Sabbath so they requested their legs be
broken to hasten their death. But when they came to Jesus He was dead
already and no bones were broken (John 19: 33- 36).
When Joseph asked for the body of Christ Pilate was amazed that He was dead already (Mark 15: 44). We see that all this was in harmony with what had been prophesied. It is not coincidence that these things occurred as they did. God's hand was in it all. And why? It was for you and me that we might be saved. Do you appreciate that?. |
