The Kind of Man He WAS |
||
Paul, the apostle of
Christ, ranks head and shoulders above most every Christian because of his
work's sake. He was not always the stalwart soldier of the cross we have
come to see in him. His own descriptions of his pre-Christian life depict
a brutal, ambitious, zealous, even vicious man. (How could one look with
delight upon the stoning of a child of God like Saul looked upon Stephen?)
But the important thing about this man is not what he WAS but what he became. I bring this to your attention because that is relevant to each of us. While we may never be as noble as Paul, the Lord is not only concerned with what we WERE, even what we ARE, but encourages us to become what we are capable of becoming. WE, TOO, CAN BE NOBLE SERVANTS OF GOD. Think on this today.. |
