Legacy |
||
You hear this word
quite often, especially from some of the prominent people of the world,
who are so concerned about how people will think of them in the future. In
fact, they seem so concerned about a favorable legacy that they seem to
ignore many of the present responsibilities that they have.
But consider the legacy of Ahab. It is said of him, "And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him" (First Kings 16: 30). Isn't that a gruesome way to be remembered? We all shall leave some kind of legacy. How wonderful if we could be remembered as a faithful Christian who did the best he/she knew in serving God and other people, keeping their lives as free from sin as they could, and honoring God all their days. |
