Little People Don't Always Understand |
||
Children are so
precious and say some of the cutest things. At least I think so. I like
the story of the little boy who was asked in class what was wrong with the
mother-in-law of Peter before Jesus healed her. The passage reads,
"But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever; and anon they tell
him of her" (Mark 1:30). The little boy replied, "She was just
sick of a fever. She had it a long time and was sick of it." Well, we
don't know how long she had the fever and it is quite probable she was
"sick of it."
Another once responded to the question what was the Seventh Commandment. He said, "Thou shalt not admit adultery." Not quite right. Once a lady told me her little girl didn't like me because I said Jesus cursed the fig tree She said Jesus never cursed. We try to make things plain, don't we? But little people don't always hear it just right. |
