The Necessary Parts |
||
Something very
obvious and elementary was impressed upon me this morning. For something
to work, you have to have all the necessary parts. My computer did not
function and it was because the "mouse" malfunctioned and
necessitated a replacement. How stupid I would have been to suggest that
the computer works by the "mouse" alone without all the other
components of the system.
Yet, when men study God's plan for saving man they get the idea one item does the whole job. While salvation depends on God's grace, mercy, love, Christ's blood (shed in His death), burial, resurrection, man's faith and obedience (even repentance, confession and baptism), some contend all that is necessary is grace alone, or faith alone. It is nonsense. It takes all the components to work. Why should people object to what God has included anyway. |
