The Need to Turn |
||
It is difficult to
understand why many people seem to think when they are going the wrong
direction that continuing that same direction will get them to where they
want to be. Common sense ought to tell they to turn from their faulty
ways.
But Scripture demands that turn. The king of Nineveh, upon the preaching of Jonah that God's wrath was against them, realized this. He said, "Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?" (Jonah 3: 9). That king showed more sense than many of our "enlightened" generation do today. How badly America needs to realize this before it crumbles. |
