Never Down Enough |
||
It was reported that
attendance was down this year at the horse race, PREAKNESS. Why?
Restrictions on availability of alcohol. That's good. It can never be
restricted enough.
We shall not bore each other with vast statistics showing the ruin and havoc of alcoholic beverages. You can up the dollars and gallons but never measure the destroyed property, lost lives, poverty, pain, waste, disease crime, divorces, broken homes, marred children, heartbreak, etc. because of it. How do you measure the brutality, fear, insecurity, shame, humiliation and regret it causes? There has never been shown any real benefit whatever to drinking alcoholic beverages. Even if one could be found, it could never offset the vast horror it causes. Those deceived thereby are fools (Proverbs. 20:1). |
