No Comfort? |
||
Having slept all
night in a warm and comfortable bed, awakened by the electric alarm clock,
feet hit a carpeted floor, house cool or warm as desired, go to the
automatic coffee maker, fix breakfast with the microwave oven, put dirty
dishes in a dishwasher, wash face in warm water, brush teeth with an
electric toothbrush, dress with nice clothes, get in an air conditioned
car, drive on smooth pavement, enter a climate controlled church house,
sit on padded pews, and sing loudly, "Hardly a comfort can
afford." Really? That is a phrase in a song often heard. We ought be
ashamed of ourselves. Do we really think about what we sing?
We have so many blessings would cannot even count them. Best we leave off some expressions lest we show ingratitude and hypocrisy. |
