No Wonder He is Considered Odd |
||
The Christian,
living in the world but not of the world, is a "peculiar" person
and is considered odd by many people. That is because his ways, the ways
of God, do not harmonize with the sinful ways of the world.
In Romans twelve Paul teaches the Christian not to avenge himself, remembering vengeance belongs to God. Rather than "getting even" with those who mistreat him he will do good, not evil. That is so different from what society is taught to do by television and most every other source. Christians know they cannot take illegal actions against evildoers even though the evildoer deserves punishment. We must give place to God's wrath to settle the matter properly in His good time. |
