Not Until Then |
||
We often wonder why
some seem to think they can dismiss a command of God and it makes no
matter. They seem to think they can be saved by the Lord their way rather
than God's way. God's way includes being baptized for the remission of
sins. Until one obeys that direction he remains lost.
Romans 6: 16-18 tells us that the Romans obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine that was delivered to them. It was THEN they were no longer servants of sin but servants of righteousness. How is it that some religionists, clergymen, theologians, etc. say otherwise? But what is equally strange is how so many people blindly follow blind leaders, swallow their denials of God's Word, and still think all is well with the soul. Where do people get these kinds of ideas? Not from God's book. |
