Nothing Complicated About It |
||
Men try to make the
way of salvation complicated. But one "in Christ" is a "new
creature" (2 Cor. 5: 17). Just as Christ died, was buried and raised,
in like manner we die to sin, are buried in baptism, and raised to
"walk in newness of life" (Rom. 6: 4). It is in baptism that we
enter Christ and reach His blood which was shed in His death (John 19:
34).
Salvation from sin cannot be accomplished until the power to cleanse has been applied. The power is His blood. It is applied when we obey baptism. What is so difficult to understand about that? Men prefer other ways to be saved but none exist. |
