Nothing Else Allowed

Little wonder there is so much confusion and contradiction in the religious world. No wonder many are looking at religion generally as something man would do better to totally discard. It would take more than this page could hold to cite the many authorities people use in religion.

Christians believe the Bible to be the sole authority in matters of religion because the Bible claims that for itself and proclaims the One who has all authority. One cannot seriously claim to believe the Bible and deny its claim. Some make the claim but their claim is false. They don't really believe what the Bible teaches on the subject. "All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (2 Tim. 3:16, 17).

Place this teaching alongside what Paul preached in Galatians one and what John taught in Second John and you easily see why the Bible is the only authority God allows.
