Now We Know |
||
There are a number
of passages that tell us that God determined the plan of salvation even
before the beginning. The story of the Bible is the record of the gradual
unfolding of the wisdom of God in saving man. Starting all the way back in
Eden until the coronation of Christ the message was somewhat a mystery.
A mystery is not something that cannot be known but is something that is unknown. For a long time God's scheme of redemption was a mystery; that is, not fully revealed. Once revealed it is no longer a mystery. Paul wrote of this mystery, "But now is made manifest and by the scriptures of the prophets..." (Romans 16: 26.). With God's revelation, the Bible, now we not only can know His will but understand it (Ephesians 3: 1- 6). Of course, it takes study. |
