Off to Work We Go

Many remember fondly the lyrics of the song sung by the seven dwarfs in Snow White as they went to their daily work. Christians are people who work daily also. They get about their tasks with diligence and energy. But they have a better incentive to work more than simply providing for the livelihood for themselves and their families. They are people of God and work as God would have them to work.

They do not perform their tasks with "eye service, as men pleasers," simply to look good to others. They serve other men but more importantly, they serve God. They do His will from the heart "as to the Lord." People of God make the best workers in the world because of their higher calling.

So it's off to work we go to do our jobs the very best we can because we serve the Lord in everything we do (Col. 3: 24).
