One Reason Marriages Fail |
||
It is not suggested
that there is only one reason marriages fail. The reasons are numerous.
But possibly if we concentrate on this one the rest will disappear.
Marriages fail because husband or wife, possibly both, refuse to recognize that marriage is a divine institution between one man and one woman for life before God and their commitment to that cannot be violated. There are many purposes for marriage as revealed in Scripture but those entering marriage must be committed to their vows or the marriage is doomed to failure. The flippant attitude many have adopted toward this God-given association only results in its collapse. Vows given and received have meaning. Dedication to them will prevent failure. Genuine and faithful COMMITMENT, or the lack of it, will determine the future of a marriage. "Till death do us part" is the vow taken and must be the vow respected. |
