about others who went around Jericho so many times before the walls fell?
Not only was their leader Joshua a man of faith, but were they not people
of faith also? Their names are not even registered for us but what if they
had decided the maneuver was just too radical and bizarre to obey the
Lord? Do you think the walls would have collapsed? Not a chance!
Which means that leaders must be faithful but also followers as well. Thanks to the horn blowers, the ark carriers, everyone else in that procession of faith the first major obstacle upon entering Canaan was overcome. Application? Few will be a Joshua. We all can be a faithful follower and obey the commands of the Lord. In fact, will God be pleased with us if we are otherwise? Not a chance! |
