Right When Wrong |
||
Can you imagine
somebody being right when they are wrong? Job's wife did that. When Job
was suffering she wrongly advised him to simply, "Curse God and
die." Poor advice to be sure. But she was right in one way.
When you curse God you will die. Spiritual death is more deadly than physical death. Many seem to think, according to their words and actions, that they can curse God and everything will still be fine. Do they really think they will get away with it? It bothers me that our nation, with some exceptions, exhibits the disbelief in the warning, "Curse God and die." While it is folly to follow that advice, it is also folly to not realize the consequences of that folly. |
