Seeking to See Jesus |
||
Hearing of Jesus
causes varied reactions. One commendable response was that of Zaccheas
whose small stature made it difficult for him in the crowd to see Him. He
persisted and was blessed above his expectations (Luke 19).
Mankind needs to seek Jesus because He is the hope of glory (Col. 1: 27). There is no other to whom mankind can turn for salvation (Acts 4: 12). Tragically, many will not respect the instructions given by the Lord and pursue with futility their own way and manner of concocting their salvation. While we see the emptiness of man's wisdom compared to the wisdom of God, we should concern ourselves whether we truly seek Jesus as revealed in Scripture or some Jesus of man's imagination that will bring salvation to nobody. One Savior and one way is the way of God. |
