She Didn't Get Away With It |

The Bible student
knows Jezebel. She was one of the most wicked persons, male or female,
that has ever lived. She thought she could do whatever she wished and
nobody could cut her short. The evil she perpetrated during her life was
immeasurable for magnitude.
God's prophet, Elijah, was hated by Jezebel because he delivered to her God's judgment against her and he foretold her doom. While Ahab, her husband, was more wicked than all the kings before him, he was largely led by his wife. He was able to exploit the nation with evil and it did not seem to matter that much to the people. He got what he deserved. Jezebel was told, "The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel (First Kings 21: 23). What happened to this person whose very name is synonymous with evil? Get your Bible and read the last verses of Second Kings nine. You see, she didn't get away with her evil. Nobody will. |
