Simple and Sure |

| We hear so much said
about unity, oneness, togetherness, the great advantages of it as well as
the serious harm of division and strife. It is a subject that should
concern every Christian since Christ prayed that we be united and Paul
condemned division (John 17; 1 Cor. 1).
To achieve this noble condition is really not that difficult to determine. The religious division in the world exists largely because people do not follow the same rule and authority. There can never be unity that way. Paul gave us the simple and sure way to have that the Lord wants. "Let us walk by the same rule" (Philippians 3: 16). What is so difficult to understand about that? But whose rule? The Lord's rule, of course, as revealed in Scripture. Nothing else is needed or wanted. |
