So Much in Few Words |
||
Words not only
inform directly but also by implication. So much can be said in few words.
For instance, Hebrews 13: 9a, "Be not carried about with divers and
strange doctrines." The instruction is clear. But several important
things are also included that are not expressly stated.
Many strange doctrines do exist. We are vulnerable to them to be carried about by them. We can be led astray. There are those who will teach such doctrines to our detriment. Truth does exist in contrast to these errors. But we need not be destroyed by such doctrines. We can prevent their harm. We can recognize strange doctrines when we know the truth because the contrast will be evident. We can remain faithful. Could there be greater reasons to study and know the truth? |
