Solomon Built It |
||
David had proposed
building the temple but God did not allow him to do it. But God promised
that his son would build it. In time, Solomon built the great Jewish
temple (which Muslims today say never existed). It was a magnificent
structure, very ornate, richly done, taking seven years and thousands of
workers to construct.
After it was complete there was gigantic dedicatory celebration with thousands of animals sacrifices, rituals, etc. God was pleased with the temple. But more than the temple was required. God told Solomon his faithfulness and obedience to God would determine his future. The temple did not prevent him from going astray. |
