Still Out There

While knocking on doors promoting our gospel meeting we encountered some of the strangest attitudes. But one about which people have heard many times still is very obvious with some folks. "I feel it right here in my heart that this is right," while tapping on the chest.

Of course, the Bible heart is the mind, not the blood pump. Furthermore, what if his blood pump is affected by what he believes? Being honest and sincere has no bearing on what is the truth of the matter. People just do not seem to understand that feelings prove nothing but feelings.

I told a man I felt in my heart he was wrong and asked him, "How do we decide which of us is right?" He said we can go to heaven any way we want. It is hard to imagine such ignorance but it is still out there in abundance.
