Their Motives Were Evil |

The early church was
disturbed by those who taught the Law of Moses was still binding. Some
teach essentially the same today. But Paul taught that was wrong and
challenged the motives of those Judaizing teachers who so taught. Read
carefully Galatians four and note the following.
The false teachers by binding circumcision were making a show, trying to escape persecution from the Jews, attempting to be somewhat among the brethren as to how many Gentiles they had brought to the Law of Moses. But Paul said they didn't care about the Law because they did not obey it. Circumcision was nothing. What mattered was being a new creature as one is in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17). Do you know how one gets into Christ? (John 3:1-5; Gal. 3:27; Rom. 6:3,4). Relying upon false ways is deadly. |
