They Changed |

Like the brethren of
Corinth who once walked in all manners of corrupt behavior, the brethren
in Colossae once walked in an abominable manner also (Col. 3: 7). Paul
lists a number of transgression of which they had been guilty. But that
was a matter of the past. What were they when Paul wrote them?
They had mortified, put death, separated themselves from such things and now were risen with Christ. They made changes in their lives that was necessary to be in fellowship with Deity. They had become God's elect. They made correct changes. They didn't do that by staying in the paths of sin. It was done by setting their affections on things above rather than on things on the earth. What a lesson we all need to learn! |
