They Could Not Answer |

| How many times did
the enemies of Christ approach Him with questions hoping to find fault
with Him? Yet, they never could. There were times when Jesus turned the
tables on them and asked them questions. Luke 14:6 tells of the time when
"they could not answer him again to these things."
How typical it is with those who do not seek truth but only want to find fault with others. They like to put others on the defensive with questions but seldom if ever are willing to give answer for what they believe and that for which they contend. It may not be that they could not answer, but if they were honest their answer would enable them to find fault easily enough, but they would be the ones at fault.
