They Took It With Them

We may find ourselves sometimes in places we have not chosen and had rather not be. There are many reasons people have to move about. But let us be like the early Christians who were scattered abroad because of persecution but they "went everywhere preaching the word" (Acts 8: 4).

Some are encouraged to stay faithful because others take the gospel with them. Some come in contact with saving truth for the first time because somebody brought the gospel with them. Some grow and became stronger as they changed situations but never left the gospel behind. What a glorious and commendable thing to go everywhere preaching the word. The song says, "Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go."

It makes you sad to know that sometimes people change their situation and location in life and even though they have once come to Christ they leave Him behind in their new and different place. The Lord will stay with those who stay with Him. Let's see to it.
