They Were Baptized |
||
Acts 2: 41 says that
those who received the word preached by Peter were baptized. They had
heard the message of Christ, believed it and desired to be saved. Once
they were told what to do, they did it. Not everyone believed what Peter
preached and they did not obey the command to repent and be baptized.
When anyone refuses to repent and be baptized it is evident they do not believe the message Peter preached. One may talk about "accepting Christ" all he wants, but the evidence speaks for itself. Those who believe will obey and those who will not obey do not believe as they must. What is your response to Peter's message? If you receive it, that means believe and accept it as true, then you will obey what you must to to be saved. If you will not, you will remain lost. It is not complicated. |
