This is not Unity |
||
Some misguided and
digressive people work for what they call "unity" among the
various denominations. Some brethren have fallen into this same trap. They
use the approach of sacrificing truth, compromise, surrendering the
authority of the Scriptures in order to be what they call
"inclusive." The way of Christ is not
"inclusive" enough for them because He excludes those who will
not do His will. To them that is a lack of love.
To come together in some kind of non-Biblical fellowship with the world is not the unity for which Christ prayed. At best it is a union of parts that are not compatible. Why does anybody lay aside God's truth in order to "get along" with those who show no concern for God's truth? We can live with differences of human opinions, but some will even link with those who deny the deity of Christ. |
