To Baptize a Cat |
||
I have just returned
from a funeral where the deceased's fleshly brother told of the time the
deceased tried to baptize a dog. It reminded me of the story they would
tell on my Mother when she was a small girl when she tried to baptize a
cat. You can imagine how the cat objected, scratched, fought and resisted
and Mother could not get it under.
Not to be outdone Mother tossed the cat up on the creek bank and told it, "All right! You will just have to go to hell." At least she had already grasped the significance of baptism. Some live a lifetime and never become that informed. |
