	To Whom We Can Call
	We need not try to list the many distressing things that can impose themselves into the lives of people. Everyone is fully aware of that reality. What everybody does not seem to realize is that there is One who cares and upon we can call if we would only submit ourselves into His service. Just why people deny themselves access to the Creator and Judge, the source of all blessings (James 1: 17), is difficult to understand. David wrote, "In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me" (Psalm 120: 1). We serve the same Lord as did David even though under a different covenant. God cares for us as He did for David (2 Peter 5: 7). So the next time you hit a "big bump in your road" just recall how there is One He will hear and respond as He sees is best for us.
