Truth Means Deliverance |
||
In spite of the fact
that truth is the only means of deliverance, it seems to make little
difference to some if truth is unheard, disbelieved and disobeyed. With
many, truth is not important because they are willing to follow whatever
they want, thinking that error and truth will both produce the same
desired results.
The reason some think this is because they have been deceived into believing a lie and still think all is well with the soul. Religious teachers have taught that what you believe is not as important as being honest and sincere in whatever you believe. It is not too much to charge against the religious world and denominationalism that they preach and teach just such a doctrine and attitude toward the revealed truth of God. Honesty and sincerity, though essential, will not save unless that which is believed and obeyed is the truth. |
