Twin Errors |
||
There is a concept
that some call "academic freedom." It simply gives a person has
the right to teach anything he wants to teach without restraint.
In religion there is a concept called "unity in diversity." It means to agree to disagree and call it unity in spite of continued division. It is foolishness. Do those in institutions committed to teaching God's truth have the right to teach error without being stopped and/or dismissed? Some think so. In fact, most so-called "Christian" schools are overrun with such "thinking." As a result young people are being served "unity in diversity" even though that falsehood is diametrically opposed to the purposes for which the school exists. "Academic freedom" has become a legitimized suicide for schools intended to uphold Christianity. It provides protection for those who destroy. This folly should be recognized for what it is and discontinued. |
