Under a New Law |
||
When Paul taught as
he did in Romans chapter seven that we are delivered from the law it was
the Mosaic Law to which he had reference, not all law. Even stating that
we are delivered from the law was to establish a law. Law still exists
even though the Mosaic Law is no longer in force.
We live under the law of Christ. Paul even included the Ten Commandments in the law from which we are delivered specifically noting the tenth, "Thou shalt not covet." This does not mean we can murder, lie, covet, etc. because such sins are forbidden under the law under which we serve also. To remove a specific law does not remove all law. |
