What a Great Mission He Had

The Lord Jesus called Saul of Tarsus, later known as Paul the apostle, into His service. He gave him a great work to perform. As we read the life of this spectacular individual we see he carried out his mission with conviction and determination. What a great work was assigned him!

In Paul's account of it in Acts 26 he said the Lord told him he was "to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light" (verse 18). There was more detailed description of his work but just take note of this.

People were spiritually blind, in darkness, there was light for them if they knew of it. Paul's work would give them that opportunity to be forgiven and receive the inheritance from God. This can and should be the mission of every Christian regarding those around him. Can you think of anything of greater value and glory than doing such a work as that?
