What About Moab? |
||
There have always
those deceived and deluded people who thought they could defy God
without consequences. Take Moab, for instance. Jeremiah writes,
"There shall be lamentation generally upon all the house tops of
Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel
wherein is no pleasure, saith the Lord" (Jer. 48: 38). He goes on to
say that Moab shall be destroyed from being a people. Then he tells us why
that is the case.
"...because he hath magnified himself against the Lord" (Jer. 48: 42). How many nations have brought upon themselves their own destruction because of the same evil in their hearts against the ways of God? Shall America be the first to defy God and succeed? I don't think so. We better wake up quickly. |
