What Has He Done For You? |
||
Christians joyfully
sing the hymn, "Count your many blessings, see what God has
done." It is a song of praise and thanksgiving because they recognize
that Jehovah, the true and living God of heaven, has blessed them beyond
words to properly express. Realizing that ingratitude is one of the most
vile traits of wicked people, Christians are always ready and happy to
acknowledge the blessings they have from God, both materially and
spiritually.
The psalmist knew that truth. He gladly broadcast his thanksgiving and wished all to know the source of every good thing (James 1:17). He wrote, "Come and hear, all ye that fear God; and I will declare what he hath done for my soul" (Psalm 66:16). Is there any Christian that cannot join the psalmist in this sentiment? |
