What She Became |
||
We learn an
invaluable lesson from Rahab. The Bible student recalls her role in the
taking of Jericho. There is some dispute as to the kind of person she was
at the first. Whether she was a harlot (prostitute) or an innkeeper is not
the point just here. Regardless of what she was, what she became is more
important.
Look at Moses. He was a slave's son and shepherd but he became the deliverer of Israel from Egypt and lawgiver. David was a shepherd lad but he became the most renown of all the kings of Israel. Paul was a persecutor but he later preached the Christ he persecuted. What a person is must be considered important. But what a person becomes is more important. God sees us as we are but also what we can become. This is why He sent Christ to the world.. |
