Where Else but Mother |
||
After Moses was
taken by the daughter of Pharaoh his own mother was secured to care for
him. Somewhere along the line Moses knew about his own people, even
thinking he was to be their deliverer (prematurely), and came to know and
understand revelation from God about many things. He was trained in all
the wisdom of the Egyptians, but they would never have taught him these
other things regarding the favored place of Israel and God's intent on
using them for His own purposes.
Yet, we do not read of any time in the life of Moses that he did not respect the true and living God. Where could he have learned that except from his mother? We might also note that many of us learned many things about God and His will from the same source. Where else but Mother? |
