Which is the Best? |
||
We have all probably
heard the adage, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of
cure." We all agree it is better to avoid and prevent trouble,
disease, hardship than to have to overcome it. The faith of Christ has the
marvelous qualities of both cure and prevention.
If we would follow the advice and counsel of the Lord regarding our manner of life many obstacles would never have to be faced. Many diseases would not occur; many heartaches would be avoided; must strife and contention would never exist. We have a strong defense against evil and error when we "walk in the light as he is in the light" (1 John 1:7). When we sin we have access to the blood of Christ to be forgiven. That which could have been avoided may not always be so easily set aside. But the Lord has so loved us that our sins can be blotted out and where prevention may fail, correction and cure prevail. What a marvelous blessing to man is the faith of Christ. |
