Who Do You Run With? |
||
Who you choose as
companions can make such a difference. Many are so careless about their
choices of friends and associates. The influence one upon another cannot
be dismissed as insignificant.
The Psalmist noted how walking with the ungodly, standing with the sinner, sitting with the scornful will deprive a person of being blessed (Psalm 1). He added, "The way of the ungodly shall perish." Parents have a duty to warn and prevent their young about their associations. It can be a problem in the making that could cost a soul in hell. A person is known by the company he keeps. Who is your company? What kind of people are they? Are they God-fearing, God-loving, God-serving people or are they of the sort about which the Psalmist writes. Don't think it strange some might consider you an ungrateful child of the devil if you prefer the companionship of such people. If that is what you choose you must bear the dreadful consequences. |
