Will God Just Forget? |
||
Both the Old and New
Testaments report how God would remember sins and iniquities no more. But
that was after forgiveness was sought by the transgressor according to
God's will (Heb. 10: 17). They would be forgiven. Until then sins
were remembered.
One of the problems with ancient Israel was that many thought God would not remember their wickedness at all. So they continued their evil ways (Hosea 7: 2). Many today talk and act like they think God will not hold them accountable for what they believe, say and do. They are mistaken. Few points are more emphasized in the gospel than man's accountability unto God. God will not forget if we do not seek his forgiveness according to His will. |
